How can missing teeth be replaced in the most modern and safest way? – Dental Implants at 5DENT, without compromise
5 reasons why you should have your teeth replaced with implants
Are you missing teeth? Are you looking for the ideal solution? Don’t miss this opportunity – dental implantation without compromise at 5DENT Dental Clinic!
Placing dental implants is the most modern and safest way to replace missing teeth, but only if the implants are placed with the necessary professionalism and experience.
The 5DENT Dental Clinic is proud that dental implants are routinely performed by oral surgery specialists with decades of international experience, minimising your risk and maximising your quality of life.
What are the advantages of dental implantation at 5DENT?
Replacing missing teeth is not only an aesthetic issue. Just as important is its health-promoting and -maintaining function, the restoration of healthy chewing.
When teeth are permanently missing, there is a significant risk of health problems:
- Bone resorption occurs which prevents the placement of the implants (however, this can often be corrected by bone augmentation).
- Teeth adjacent to missing teeth collapse due to lack of support and stress from chewing.
- The teeth opposite the missing teeth are disproportionately loaded and lifted out of their original position.

Who will be your doctor?
Who we are proud of
In which case can dental implants be the ideal solution for you?
Dental implants can help in a wide range of cases, from 18 to 108 years. The most important prerequisites for implantation are good health, good oral hygiene and sufficient bone stock for implantation. The latter is checked by the dentist and oral surgeon with a 3D CT scan. In these cases, replacing missing teeth with dental implants can be a particularly good solution:
- In the case of a missing tooth, if the neighbouring teeth are completely healthy and you do not want to have them ground down. In this case, an implant-supported crown or bridge can be made
- For a missing tooth or for missing teeth at the end of the row of teeth, if the tooth cannot be replaced by a bridge and you do not want to wear a removable prosthesis, an implant-supported crown or bridge can be made.
- In cases where there are only a few stable teeth per jawbone, a fixed bridge can be made by placing a few implants in the right place.
- In the case of a completely edentulous jawbone, several solutions are possible with the insertion of an implant. By placing four implants per jawbone, a removable prosthesis can be strongly supported, or a fixed prosthesis can be created with the All-on-4™ or All-on-6™ procedure.
IHow are dental implants placed at 5DENT Dental Clinic?
- The first step is a 3D CT scan. Based on this, we create a treatment plan and inform you in detail about the necessary steps.
- If necessary, scaling and restoration of the remaining teeth (fillings, filling replacements) follow.
- If necessary, a tooth extraction, bone augmentation, bone grafting or sinus lift may follow.
- The healing time is 3-4 months, unless the oral surgeon recommends otherwise.
- After the healing period, the implant is loosened and the healing post is inserted, which is worn for seven to ten days. (If possible, our oral surgeon will insert the healing screw at the same time as placing the implant. In this case, the implant release step is skipped).
- Next comes the impression: our dental technician uses it to make your dentures.
- The number of steps that follow depends on the type of prosthesis:
- For some crowns or small bridges, your dentist will glue in the finished denture a few days after taking the impression.
- If you receive a larger bridge or a removable implant-supported prosthesis, a trial will be made before delivery and you can wear your final prosthesis about ten days after the impression is taken.

These are the questions asked by our patients about dental implants (FAQ)
Our team of experienced oral surgeons with decades of international experience performs dental implantations at 5DENT in Mosonmagyaróvár, just 14 kilometres from the Austrian border. Detailed information on how to contact us can be found here.
This depends on the number of dental implants to be placed and the difficulty of the implantation. The implantation can take between 40 minutes and 2-3 hours.
- Meals: Light meals are recommended before implantation. Do not come with an empty stomach. Exceptions to this rule are implantations under general anaesthesia
- Brushing your teeth: Brush your teeth thoroughly and clean your interdental spaces before implantation. Clean teeth lead to faster healing and fewer complications. You can also use an antiseptic mouthwash or rinse
- Facial cleansing: It is advisable to appear without make-up so that the surgical environment is as sterile as possible. Avoid wearing make-up, powder or bronzer.
- Shaving: From a hygienic point of view, it is advisable that gentlemen arrive clean-shaven for the procedure, as the stubble can harbour a lot of bacteria that can affect the sterility of the area.
- Sedatives: If you think it is necessary and your doctor agrees, you can take a sedative before the operation to relieve your anxiety before the procedure. It is important that you inform your doctor about this medication!
Dental implants are placed under local anaesthesia, sedation or general anaesthesia, so there is no pain, minimal discomfort and pressure.
A panoramic X-ray and a 3D CT are absolutely necessary for precise planning of the dental implantation.
The cost of treatment depends on a number of factors, including the type of implant and the complexity of the implantation (e.g. whether bone augmentation is required). After your consultation, we will provide you with a detailed written cost estimate.
A full implant prosthesis consists of three elements:
- Implant
- Superstructures
- Implat prostheses
(Except for screw-retained prostheses consisting of an implant and an abutment)
Implant abutments according to the type of material
- Firmly bonded implant denture – less expensive, but no subsequent correction possible, only by creating a new denture
- Screw-retained dentures – more expensive, but easy to correct afterwards as the denture can be unscrewed and screwed back in after correction
- Removable implant prostheses – prostheses that are stabilised by various fine mechanical fixation devices and can be removed twice a day for cleaning (it is also recommended to wear them at night).
Types of implant dentures according to the material of the denture
- Metal-ceramic implant dentures – have a metal framework with a tooth-coloured ceramic veneer.
- Zirconia ceramic implant dentures – have a natural-looking zirconia framework with a tooth-coloured ceramic veneer.
The healing time for dental implants and related treatments is usually as follows:
- Tooth extraction before implant placement: 4-6 months, depending on the condition of the tooth to be extracted and the jaw bone.
- Implantation: 3-6 months
- Simultaneous implantation and bone augmentation: 6 months
- Bone augmentation (bone lift or sinus lift): 6 months
- Bone spread: 6-8 months
Depending on your state of health, our oral surgeon may deviate from the healing time mentioned above.
In immediate implant placement, the implant is placed at the same time as the tooth extraction.
The oral surgeon may recommend immediate implant placement during the exploration. This will be discussed with you in advance. The procedure may be affected by bone condition, soft tissue condition and possibly major inflammation.
The steps for immediate implantation are the same as for dental implantation.
The guarantee may last a lifetime in some cases (e.g. mechanical damage to an implant screw), but the effectiveness and durability of the treatment depends on many factors, including your general health and oral hygiene habits. Specific guarantees will be explained during the consultation.
- Cool the surgical site with an ice pack for the first 24 hours. When you are awake, 10 minutes of icing should be followed by 10 minutes of rest. The ice pack can be reused by placing it in the freezer.
- Do not smoke
- Do not drink alcohol
- Do not eat until the anaesthetic wears off
- Do not touch the surgical area with your fingers or tongue
- Answer: After the placement of dental implants, slight swelling or discolouration may occur. This is normal. In any case, we will tell you what to expect and how to deal with these symptoms.
- Avoid dairy products, spicy foods, acidified foods, highly spiced foods, foods containing small seeds, bread crumbs, hard foods (e.g. bread crusts, seeds, bones) and beer.
- Rinse your mouth carefully only, do not use mouthwash
- Clean the surgical site carefully with a surgical toothbrush from the 7th postoperative day.
- Avoid sauna sessions and intense sports activities
- Before the implant is permanently anchored in the bone, its stability decreases 1-6 weeks after placement, which is the critical period. Therefore, do not chew with the temporary crown on the affected side during this time. When eating, do not strain the surgical site, but eat on the other side.
After the placement of dental implants, slight swelling or discolouration may occur. This is normal. We will always tell you what to expect and how to deal with these symptoms.
Implant-supported dentures can be the solution for a lifetime. If you wear an implant-supported denture, 5DENT Dental Clinic strongly recommends annual dental check-ups and plaque removal.
The care of fixed bridges and crowns on implants is similar to the care of your own teeth. In addition to brushing your teeth three times a day, it is recommended to floss or interdental brush once a day and use mouthwash.
It is recommended to clean the fixed elements of the implant-supported prosthesis, which are attached to the implant, with a toothbrush after every meal.
The removable denture should also be cleaned with a brush and denture cleaning tablets. It may be necessary to reline the denture about every two years. The right time to do this is when you feel that your denture has lost its stability.
